Bank Holiday Deliveries

Our couriers will not be collecting or delivering on the following dates:

Next day courier deliveries (excluding Highlands) placed after 2.00pm on Friday 28th May, and before 2.00pm on Tuesday 1st June, will be delivered on Wednesday 2nd June.

Disruption to services due to Eyjafjallajoekull volcano

The suspension of commercial flights in UK airspace has been widely publicised, however, since mid-May, the service has started to return to normal.

I airspace in Northern Europe is interrupted again, delays can be expected with all Royal Mail Airmail services. Courier services non-EU destinations will also be affected.

The following delivery services are, to our knowledge, currently operating normally:

  • Royal Mail 1st Class - UK Mainland
  • DPD express courier (all European destinations are served by Ferry/Road)
  • All UK mainland courier services

We deliver - fast!

Orders placed by 2.00pm Monday-Friday are normally despatched on the same day - we will telephone you if we are unable to do so for any reason.

All references to delivery times exclude Saturday and Sunday.

Pricing

  • UK (mainland) Interlink Express Courier - normally next working day - £5.95 per delivery. This service is free to UK mainland addresses for orders over £120.00.
    • The vast majority of parcels delivered using this service will arrive next working day by 4.0pm. Some parts of Aberdeenshire and Invernesshire are served in two working days. Call or email if you find otherwise so that we can chase it for you.
  • UK 1st class - priced according to consignment weight £2.35 - £5.95 per delivery
    • To comply with banking guidelines, some deliveries may need to be upgraded to a 'signed-for' service at our expense.
  • UK (mainland) Interlink Express Courier guaranteed next working day by 1.00pm - £11.00 per delivery
    • Goods ordered at week-ends are despatched on Monday.
    • This service may not be available in some remote areas.
  • UK (mainland) Interlink Express Courier guaranteed next working day by 9.30am - £25.00 per delivery
    • Goods ordered at week-ends are despatched on Monday.
    • This service may not be available in some remote areas.
  • EU DPD Courier - from 2 working days - prices from £18.00 per delivery
  • EU Airmail - from 5 working days - prices from £2.95 according to weight

Recent changes to our UK delivery services

We look forward to supporting Royal Mail for the forseeable future and hope that management and staff are able to resolve their differences soon - we have yet to find a viable alternative for smaller items and will not be resorting to 'cheap' home delivery services. Such alternatives can be rather inconvenient - especially where customers are located in more remote areas.

Our current alternative, Interlink Express Courier is an extremely reliable, fully tracked, premium service which will now be the first available shipping selection for UK mainland areas - the majority of Interlink Express Courier deliveries will arrive next working day - customers may also opt for our 'timed' services for an additional cost.

For smaller items, 1st class post will probably be cheaper and can still be selected.

Our services

We aim to despatch your order as quickly as possible.

Standard UK mainland shipping is capped at £5.95.

Delivery method is by Royal Mail 1st class or Interlink Express Courier dependent upon customer's instructions.

Once the £5.95 maximum has been reached, the goods will normally go by courier (phone us if Royal Mail 1st class is your preferred option) - normal delivery time is next working day.

A choice of two further 'guaranteed' next working day services, by 1.00pm and by 9.30am are also offered. These services are not available to some parts of Scotland, we will telephone you if this is the case.

Unless otherwise stated, we do not normally make goods available for purchase via our website unless we have the item(s) in stock and ready to ship. If we make a mistake, we will telephone* you and tell you.
(*under no circumstances will your contact telephone number be sold to tele-marketing companies - however it can be needed by us if there is a query with your order or if our couriers cannot find you).

Orders placed before 2.00pm Monday-Friday (excluding holidays) will normally leave our premises on the same day. Call us on 01922 458244 if you have a specific delivery request (such as arrival on a convenient day) and we will do our best to help.

Our delivery charges take into account: method, weight, volume, value & destination.

Our maximum standard UK mainland delivery charge is currently GBP 5.95 inc. VAT. The majority of orders will arrive next working day.

In addition, we offer further 'timed' options, both of which are guaranteed next day services.

EU rates vary by consignment methods and distance, but delivery to France for example is capped at GBP 20.00 inc VAT regardless of consignment weight for the fast, trackable, 2-3 day DPD service.

Orders destined for countries outside the EU are shipped by Airmail (with additional insurance when necessary), or courier where the shipping weight exceeds 2kg.

Schuko  Free! - Gratuit! - Kostenlos! - Gratuito!

From 5/9/09 all UK specification electrical goods delivered to continental Europe will be supplied with a free 7.5A UK 3-pin to Continental 2-pin "Schuko" style adapter worth GBP 2.95!

 

Customers may choose the following delivery methods

Royal Mail - UK orders with a total value of less than £40.00 and weight less than 2kg may be sent by Royal Mail 1st Class post - delivery aim 1-2 working days within the UK, or Airmail (Small Packets) overseas.

Orders with a total value more than £40.00, or weight exceeding 2kg are normally sent by:

Interlink Express Parcels - delivery aim normally next working day for UK Mainland addresses (our preferred UK Mainland courier with online tracking). Excludes Northern Ireland & Offshore Islands.

Over 99% of our orders consigned with Interlink Express Parcels to UK Mainland addresses (standard £5.95 service) arrive next working day. Parts of Aberdeenshire, Moray and Highland are served in two working days. See below for guaranteed next day services.

Interlink Express Parcels - guaranteed next working day by 1.00pm. Excludes parts of the Highlands, Northern Ireland & Offshore Islands.

Interlink Express Parcels - guaranteed next working day by 9.30am. Excludes Scotland, Northern Ireland & Offshore Islands.

DPD Geopost Overland Shipping - delivery aim normally 2-3 working days for Ireland (South) and 2-5 working days for most other European destinations (our preferred EU courier with online tracking).
The main exception is Greece which has a 7-9 working day delivery aim.

Parcelforce 48 - delivery aim normally 2-3 working days for heavier items (2kg+) to Highland, Northern Ireland & UK Offshore Islands

DHL / TNT - delivery aim normally 1-2 working days UK, 3-7 working days EU (where DPD is unavailable), 3-14 working days Worldwide. if an order is destined outside of the EU, and weighs over 2kg, then it will normally ship by DHL/TNT..

Royal Mail Special Delivery - for items up to 2kg guaranteed next working day to UK addresses (up to 10kg for Isle of Man).

Royal Mail International Signed For - normally approx. 7-10 days (EU) or 7-21 days (Italy) - lower value and/or under 2kg.

Unlike many of our competitors who offer free shipping (with higher prices for the products), we do not use Second Class post, Royal Mail tracked or Royal Mail Standard Parcels - the services are relatively slow.

Where a guaranteed delivery service is purchased, our guarantee extends to shipping cost refund only. We cannot be held accountable for consequential losses.

 

Examples:


An Ameda Lactaline Electric Breast Pump will normally be delivered to most UK Mainland addresses in 1 working day if ordered by 2.00pm. To Northern Ireland, Offshore & Highland destinations in 1-2 working days, rest of Europe in 2-5 working days.

A TENS machine is a lighter item and will normally ship to any UK address (incl. Highland and Northern Ireland) by Courier or Special Delivery - next working day. It will ship by Registered Airmail to all other destinations, delivery 3-14 days dependent upon which part of the planet one resides!

Please call us on 01922 458244 for confirmation of delivery time if your order is particularly urgent - we have a number of options for urgent/deadline deliveries if necessary.

As retailers, it is our responsibility to ensure that you have received the goods that you have paid for within a reasonable time period.

However, provided that we have consigned your order promptly, we cannot be held accountable for delays in transit due to interruptions of the courier's normal service (such as vehicle breakdowns/industrial action/inclement weather/system breakdowns etc).

The only exception would be if the package is insured against consequential loss for delivery after a certain date. email us to arrange the service.

All orders are insured by ourselves against loss/damage in transit.

In the unlikely event that you suspect that your order has been damaged in transit, you must inform us within 24 hours of receipt of goods so that we can initiate a claim and rectify the matter for you. Please retain all external packaging - the courier's representative will need to inspect the item.
