Is there such a thing as a 'normal' nipple?
Women's nipples vary from person to person. Small, large, inverted, long, short or flat, everyone is different.
Some babies find it hard to latch on to flat or inverted nipples, and nipple formers can help.
Ameda nipple formers are worn inside the bra, and work by compressing the areola whilst allowing the nipple to evert into the free space in the centre of the nipple former in preparation for breastfeeding.
Ameda nipple formers are ventilated to help reduce perspiration, and are supplied complete with comfort pads which lie between breast and nipple former.
This part must not be microwaved. Ameda / ARDO recommend steam, boiling or cold-water sterilisation methods.
