Ameda / ARDO new Hygienikit milk collection set

The new Ameda Hygienikit (17111UKP) replaces the standard breastmilk collection set issued with the Ameda Lactaline Personal Dual Electric breast pump and the Ameda Elite 'Hospital' breast pump. The new Hygienikit is backwards compatible with earlier (silver finish) Ameda/Hollister/SMB breast pumps.

Features

The unique product design incorporates a silicone diaphragm which acts as a barrier, effectively preventing milk back up into the tubing or breast pump.

This entirely new milk collection set comes with a standard (25mm) breast flange, extra large (30.5mm) breast flange and reducing insert to create a large (28.5mm) flange.

Manufactured from polypropylene. 100% free of Bisphenol-A.

This Hygienikit is easy to clean and sterilise but parts must not be microwaved. Ameda / ARDO recommend steam, boiling or cold-water sterilisation methods. Please note that when these kits are supplied as standard with the New Ameda Lactaline Personal dual electric breast pump, CustomFit Flanges are NOT included.

Warranty

By their nature, all of the above parts are classed as 'consumables' and are not covered by Ameda's standard 12 month warranty. The kits are robust, however, like other brands of electric pump collection set, the valve (or its equivalent, for example a Medela membrane) is a fragile item, and will wear out. The normal lifetime of a valve is typically 2-3 months. See our Ameda troubleshooting guide before purchasing the whole kit, you may just need a pack of valves!
